In continuation to the crusade for the promotion of Geoheritage and Geotourism, the author Prof. (Retd.) Dr. P. S. Ranawat has brought out another reader-friendly book with concise text and good quality images that would help even non technical people / geotourist/ geo-enthusiast to have interest in this emerging scenario. The monograph, printed on art paper, succinctly describes the ten National Geological Monuments (NGMs) of Rajasthan along with “Satellite Site/s of Interest” near them. Two potential geoheritage sites, the first in India, are also described, highlighting geological, ancient mining & metallurgical, archeological, spiritual, scenic aspects of Zawar zinc-lead-silver mine area and the Ramgarh (Ramgadh) Meteorite Impact Crater.
